This piece began life as a flat pattern. The background pattern was created using anaglypta wallpaper on which the birds were then impressed and the whole then drawn up and stiffened on a former. The base was thrown on the wheel and attached, followed by the top and then the cut out birds were applied. Quality brass fittings are used and the shade is handmade in Scotland using dupion silk. One other available in green.
